Hyundai Genesis Unveiled to the world as a Challenger of BMW 5 Series

Hyundai has already shown he knows how to deal with European competition in the compact segment. Now it okay to experiment in terms of official limousines.
Before us is a second -generation model that Genesis Hyundai officially unveiled last week in Seoul. If the car looks familiar, it’s probably just because you’ve seen the model K900 – KIA-in, answer the BMW 5 Series, which shares the new Genesis platform and almost all mechanical components.
Dimensions of Genesis are:
- 4.990 mm in length
- 1.890 mm wide
- 1.480 mm high
With a wheelbase of 3.010 mm, this is 75 mm more than the previous model. New Genesis also features an integral drive all four wheels, multi – link rear suspension and 8 – speed automatic ZF gearbox which, among others, produced for the needs of BMW.
Under the hood is provided only petrol engines, which is not exactly a move that will delight European customers. It is about 3.0, 3.3 and 3.8 – liter V6 Lambda engines and 5.0 – liter V8 Tau.
Last generation model Genesis for a period of six years globally was sold in 250,000 copies. In terms of the new version, the manufacturer expects next year to sell 62,000 cars, of which 30,000 out of Korea.
